Sonja Goihl is a vastly experienced
correspondent, researcher, marketeer and public-relations
practitioner, with extensive media contacts, particularly
in the lifestyle, celebrity and human interest sectors.
Across press and TV, Sonja successfully supports high-profile
individual clients.
From embassies to exclusives…
Having studied business administration in Germany,
Sonja began her UK career at the legalisation, visa
and press department of the German Embassy in London.
From there, she joined an artist management and music
publishing company as a personal assistant. She liaised
with major record labels, producers and magazines,
arranging international concert dates, setting up
photo shoots and fielding press enquiries.
Next, Sonja was invited to work for Bravo – Germany’s
own youth-culture bible, with sales of 2.6 million
a week. Having worked as PA to the UK editor for 3
years, she graduated to the role of correspondent
in this country.
Inventive, independent, international
Sonja’s creative streak was brought to the fore
when she was then headhunted by the capital’s
UK office of the German media giant Burda Publishing.
She excelled at originating and sourcing ideas and
photos for news stories and features, covering subjects
from celebrities and fashion to interiors and gardening.
Three years on, Sonja went freelance with clients including
the German news giant Stern and Munich-based publisher
Gong Verlag. Totally in tune with the requirements
of international journalism, she was appointed UK
correspondent for TV Movie, Germany’s flagship
film/television entertainment magazine. It’s
a position Sonja holds to this day.
